This year began with Guided By Voices reuniting with their “classic” lineup of Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Greg Demos, and Kevin Fennell for their first release in 15 years. Now, as 2012 is about to come to a close, they release their third album of the year (the other two releases, Let’s Go Eat the Factory and Class Clown Spots a UFO, were also recommended on TWSIS). The Bears for Lunch continues the sound the band has been known for – quick takes of catchy rock.
