Recommended New Release: Band of Horses – Mirage Rock

Band of Horses, Ben Bridwell’s band, has undergone various lineup changes since 2006’s debut, Everything All the Time, but Mirage Rock, the fourth album, has the core musicians as the band’s last release. Recording mostly in a live atmosphere with Glyn Johns, the album has a relaxed feel. The band’s natural sound shines. As always, though, it is Bridwell’s melodic tenor that carries the songs.
