Dirty Projectors is a six-piece rock band fronted by Dave Longstreth. On Swing Lo Magellan, the band’s seventh album, Dirty Projectors sound gentle, but not simple or childlike. It’s as if the layers and complexities of the songs’ arrangements give the music a weathered passivity as a bed to this densely dynamic rock.
