The New Jersey trio is comprised of Jeff Schroeck on guitar, J Nixon on bass, and Miranda Taylor on drums. They used to play in other bands, most notably The Ergs and Hunchback. With Black Wine, they all sing and write the songs in the self-described genre of no-core. On Hollow Earth, their third album in as many years, the band sounds like a continuation of the independent bands from the 80s and 90s, like Meat Puppets, Dinosaur Jr., and Vaselines.
