Ty Segall has released a number of albums with different bands and as a solo artist. Slaughterhouse is the first release that Segall has put together with his touring band which includes Mikal Cronin, Charlie Moothart, and Emily Rose Epstein. The album has a rambunctious garage sound that is equal parts punk and rock. The songs, which are originals with the exception of two fuzzed out covers of a couple of oldies, sound like they were recorded in quick takes with frenzied energy.
