These United States released four albums between 2008 and 2010 and they made TWSIS’s list of favorite albums each year (2008, 2009, and 2010). The band is back with their self-titled fifth album and it should be no surprise that it’s recommended here. Like its predecessors, this album is punctuated by Jesse Elliott’s wordy and catchy vocals over the slightly countrified, definitely folk influenced, garage rock.
