Kelli Scarr voice may sound familiar from her work with Moby and J. Viewz. On Dangling Teeth, her second solo album, she sings appealing alt country. Her voice is clear and full with an obliging drawl that can sound either sweet or gutsy. The music is filled out honky tonking telecasters, swelling steel guitars, steady bass, and shuffling drums. It’s an all-encompassing, countrified album that sounds better with each pass through the speakers.
