Recommended New Release: Paper Airplane – Who You Know

Paper Airplane were featured here when they released their debut LP in 2007. Now they are back with their third full-length album, Who You Know. The band mixes multiple genres to create music that doesn’t exactly fit any of those genres. Its catchy music with layers of guitar, keyboards, and prominent vocals, but the quixotic changes keep the listener constantly guessing. There is a Beatles influence in the music, but it doesn’t sound like a continuation of the band after Let It Be. It sounds like the music that the Liverpool quartet would be making is they were currently in the middle of their career.
