On their second full-length album, Icarus Himself showcases electronic folk that has a chamber rock influence. The songs are calm, but are layered with a diverse palette of accompanying sounds. The autobiographical album tells the story of lead singer Nick Whetro’s third shift job manufacturing windows in Indiana. The songs work their way through the doldrums of stagnant work days to the pleasures of being in a committed relationship.
