Will Oldham has released music under numerous monikers since the early 90s. Since 1998, most of his released music has been as Bonnie “Prince” Billy, but it’s been a few years since he released a full-length album under that name. Wolfroy Goes to Town features 10 songs of Oldham’s typical mellow, practical music. With the addition of guests (Ben Boye, Van Campbell, Shahzad Ismaily, Emmett Kelly, Danny Kiely, and Angel Olsen), Oldham’s tranquil, unwavering voice shines at its best on these minimal, acoustic guitar songs.
