This Northeastern Ohio band started out playing neo-folk in the vein of Neutral Milk Hotel. Now the four-piece band churns out unadulterated rock and roll. They haven’t simply picked up electric guitars. They’ve refined their recording process and made an album that recoils and jolts. Healin the Pain was recorded with few overdubs and mixed at Tiny Telephone. The same dedication to crafting engaging songs still exists, but the sound is much larger with a more aggressive, gnarling sound.
