The Express is band comprised of Liam Corcoran and Kinley Dowling, a pair of cousins. Corcoran is the lead singer for Two Hours Traffic, a Polaris Prize nominated band. Dowling is the violinist of the chamber pop band Hey Rosetta! The two Canadian musicians each contributed their own songs and share lead duties on this debut album. The Express was produced by Dale Murray (not the former relief pitcher who started with the Montreal Expos, but the member of Cuff the Duke and The Guthries), who added some additional guitar, banjo, pedal steel, and vocals. This is an intimate, tactful album of acoustic songs that seem to be embedded with their own soul.
