Release the Sunbird, which is also the name of a song from Robert Pollard’s first solo album (Not in My Airforce), is a new project from Rogue Wave’s Zach Rogue. The songs have a catchiness that would be expected. Compared to Rogue Waves electric guitar and keyboard based music, this new project has a gentle, acoustic-based sound. Rogue’s vocals are paired with Kate Long’s to create innately compelling harmonies for the shrewd melodies that are diffused throughout Come Back to Us.
