This is the fourth album from Holly Throsby, who has been twice nominated for the Australian Recording Industry Association’s award for Best Female Artist. Team was released earlier this year in her home country and finally came to the States this week. The songs were recorded in a 19th century church. Perhaps that atmosphere is responsible for the ethereal quality that found its way into the songs. The layers of acoustic instruments – nylon string guitar, cello, violin, mandolin, upright bass, piano, and pump organ – create the snug bed for Throsby’s luscious vocals.
