King Post Kitsch is the musical band name for Charlie Ward, an audio engineer from the UK. There is a retro, garage sound on The Party’s Over with its catchy, sundry songs.
Madeleine Peyroux – Standing on the Rooftop | CD
On her last album, the jazz chanteuse delved into the songwriting process. With Standing on the Rooftop, she collaborated with other writers (including Bill Wyman and Jonatha Brooke) and includes a few covers as her jazz style focuses on the storytelling aspect of music.

The San Francisco band, fronted by Andy Cabic, has released their fifth album. The acoustic-based songs are filled out with beautifully layered soundscapes that add more to the atmosphere than to the structure of the songs.
