It’s been five years since The Greenhornes released new music. In that time, Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence became the rhythm section for The Racounteurs. Now they’ve returned to supporting Craig Fox. This is the most consistent album of the band’s career. It’s a stellar return for this 60’s pop influenced, garage rock trio.

Barn Owl Records is offering this album as a free download. Solomon’s Hollow is the nom de musique of singer-songwriter Nate Agenbroad. This is the second album from the DIY artist. He wrote, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered every song. Agenbroad creates soothing folk music with his acoustic guitar, banjo, piano harmonica, and vocals. This free release is definitely worth checking out.

The five songs on this EP were recorded since The Wild Hunt was released in April. That previous full-length album is sure to make my year end list of favorite albums and Sometimes the Blues is Just a Passing Bird will most likely make this year’s list of my favorite EPs. The Tallest Man on Earth has released some of the most engaging and addictive songs of the year.
