Isobel Campbell, formerly of Belle & Sebastian, and Mark Lanegan, from Screaming Trees, have returned for their third album. The pairing highlights Campbell’s relaxed pop sound more than the grunge sound that made Lanegan popular. The songs where everything clicks are purely enchanting.

Three years after this band went their separate ways, they return with a new album of searing electric guitars, blazing harmonica, and Michael Dean Damron’s raspy vocals. This will be a welcomed return for those familiar with ICLASOB’s sound and a new find for anyone who likes aggressive Americana.

For their second full-length album, the Québécois trio shares ten tracks of addictive indie pop with Elizabeth Powell’s vocals, which are often draped with reverb and have a dreamy quality.

Ra Ra Riot’s sophomore album demonstrates the band’s unique but well-defined sound. Combining guitar, bass, cello, and violin, they create an upbeat style of chamber pop.
Sufjan Stevens – All Delighted People [EP] | MP3

It’s a nice surprise to hear a new, unanticipated Sufjan Stevens album without much anticipation. Suddenly digitally releasing this 8-song, 60-minute EP, Stevens showcases his malleable, orchestral, folk sound on the shorter songs and the epic-length tracks. Listen to the entire album here. Expect a physical version of this album near the end of the year.
