This band has layers of sounds. They stack pianos, guitars, keyboards, and orchestral sounds with the vocal harmonies. It sounds large while still presenting an intimate quality. But what sets this album apart is the diverse way it tackles each song. There are influences of chamber pop, indie rock, and alt country sprinkled throughout the album. The end result is a very captivating album.

Dylan is an artist who has constantly reinvented himself. And each time it is with great success. From the folk troubadour to the electric stage, he was the voice of a generation. After his country influenced days, he released introspect songs of the mid-70’s and hit his second wave with albums like Tangled Up In Blue and Desire. Following his born again Christian days and the hits and misses of the 80’s, Dylan hit a new stride when he released one of his most underrated albums, Oh Mercy, in 1989. His live performances took on a new meaning in the mid 90’s and 00’s and he released a trilogy of powerful albums. This collection of previously unreleased material showcases the great songs and alternate versions that slipped through the cracks from a time period that will be known as one of this genius’s best, 1989-2006.

Her Space Holiday is the band name that Mark Bianchi uses to describe his solo projects. He was in hardcore bands Indian Summer and Mohinder. The earlier Her Space Holiday albums were electronic based indie pop sets. With XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival, Bianchi has made an album or magnificent folk based indie pop. With guitars, banjo, mandolin, and glockenspiel, these songs have an indie singer-songwriter feel to them.

This Sub Pop musician has released a visceral and confident. Stray Age is a minimalist folk album. Moore’s voice, front and center in the mix, is a heavy, warm cup of cider and rum on a winter day –gives you a beatific comfort and enough of a high to sustain a relaxed feeling.
