British Sea Power – Do You Like Rock Music? | buy it at amazon
Near the end of 2007, British Sea Power released an EP entitled Krankenhaus?. This site named it one of the best albums of November 2007. Including the song “Down To The Ground” and an edited version of “Atom,” it was a teaser for Do You Like Rock Music?, the band’s third full-length album. While the band does have strong propensity for indie rock, the grandiose production lead to a panoptic and prodigious style.

As the rhythm guitarists for Canada’s post-hardcore Alexisonfire, which was garnered with the country’s Juno Award for New Group Of The Year in 2005, Dallas Green has received prominent praise, awards, and sales. With the CD handle of City And Colour, Green also won the 2007 Juno Award for Alternative Album Of The Year for his solo debut, Sometimes. Anchored with his acoustic guitar and amicable vocals, Bring Me Your Love is a set of folk-based songs with an intimate aura.
Idiot Pilot – Wolves | buy it at amazon
Originally released in October 2007, this album was only available through the bands website or digitally through iTunes. Today it sees national distribution. Idiot Pilot is an electronic/rock duo who utilizes a diverse amount of influences. Produced by Ross Robinson a former Blink 182 Mark Hoppus, the album melds a strong Radiohead allure with a heavier, post-punk sound. For example, “In Record Shape” and “Red Museum” intersperse Thom Yorke vocal style with metal screamo vocals and double kick.
